The New Face(s) of the Indie Girl?

Take a look at these two. It's like every indie cliche x 1,0000,000 (their 'Top 10' section is eye-gougingly embarrassing) crossed with a really cheap prostitute.

And I thought Suicide Girls had that image wrapped.

Am I guilty of nostalgia or did indie girls have a lot more self respect than this at one time?

It seems that in lieu of any high profile girl indie musicians, things have reverted back to the 'tits and arse' of yesteryear, only a bit more lo fi.

Who's fault is it: girls being too lazy/wet to be bothered doing anything or laddish indie zines refusing to take them seriously, answers below please?
